  • Amelia Manderscheid

    FOUNDING PARTNER

    Curiosity about the connections between art as a creative act and as a medium for creating wealth, prompted Amelia to earn dual degrees in Economics and in Art History from Wellesley College, including a semester study in Florence, Italy; and an internship with Sotheby’s Auction House. Amelia’s initial years in the art business were spent at Artnet, the original facilitator of fine art sales over the Internet.

    Amelia served as Specialist and Global Head of eCommerce for Post-War & Contemporary Art at Christie’s in New York. She was Head of Sale for the Andy Warhol auctions, overseeing Christie’s multi-year partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. While at Christie’s, Amelia earned her Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Value Investing from Columbia Business School. After the success of Christie’s online sales, she also worked with David Zwirner Gallery on launching their Online Viewing Room and innovation projects. A highlight of her initial stint in New York was being the Auctioneer for the Trevor Project Gala honoring Ian McKellen.

    Most recently, she was Vice President and Senior Director of Contemporary Art at Bonhams in San Francisco. She led strategic development for the West Coast, quickly becoming the top revenue generator for the contemporary department in America. Amelia staged the highest-grossing exhibition in Bonhams’ history, The Medium is the Message: Women Artists in Contemporary Art at Bonhams Madison Avenue. She was selected to become a Bonhams auctioneer and continues to work with leading nonprofits as a charity auctioneer. She was a Founding Partner of the Institute of Contemporary Art San Francisco and on the Auction Committee for the Headlands Center for the Arts.

    Amelia is a Founding Partner at Legacy Art Partners, a full-service contemporary art advisory firm. Legacy Art Partners supports collectors throughout the entire collecting journey, offering services in sales strategy, acquisitions planning, and art market valuation and analysis. Amelia is a sought-after public speaker on art as an alternative asset class, particularly within the financial community. She is also an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America, specializing in Postwar, Contemporary, and Emerging Art.

    Amelia chronicles the latest developments in the Contemporary Art Market and describes emerging technology trends in her podcast Art Breaker. She is an active participant in the New York Arts community, including MoMA’s Young Patrons Council and Women Moving Millions.

    Originally from Saint Paul, Minnesota, Amelia now resides in Brooklyn with her wife and two young daughters. She volunteers at her daughters’ schools and continues with her lifelong love of soccer, occasionally even playing defense.

  • Hannah Crenshaw

    MARKETING & CLIENT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

    After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Virginia, Hannah worked at Christie's auction house in the Post-War and Contemporary Art department. During her time there, she specialized in online sales, focusing primarily on works from the iconic Andy Warhol Foundation. This experience provided her with an in-depth knowledge of the fine art market and the growing importance of digital platforms in art transactions.

    Following her tenure at Christie's, Hannah spent five years in digital advertising, helping companies navigate the complexities of online marketing and advertising to drive growth. Her experience in digital advertising gives her a distinct advantage in reaching buyers and sellers where they are, using targeted strategies to connect with the right audience and enable informed purchasing decisions.

    Hannah is the founder of Hannah Crenshaw Fine Art, an online gallery dedicated to helping emerging artists grow their reach while making art more accessible to new collectors. She lives in Virginia Beach, VA with her husband, two children and chocolate lab.
